Every child deserves a space that says, “You matter, and your education matters.” That belief is at the heart of The Alepasse Foundation’s Building Futures project – a school renovation initiative to improve the learning environment and enrich the educational experience for students at Luhuor Primary School.
When the Foundation visited Luhuor Primary School, it was clear that the learning environment needed urgent attention. Classrooms were worn, furniture was in short supply, and the tools that make everyday teaching possible, from proper writing surfaces to teachers’ workspaces, were either inadequate or missing entirely.

The Building Futures project set out to change that. The Foundation renovated the school’s six-classroom block, repairing the roof, repainting the building, and restoring classroom cupboards to bring the entire facility back to a safe, clean, and functional standard. Twenty (20) new student desks were crafted and installed, meaningfully reducing the desk shortage and giving more children a proper place to sit and engage with their lessons. Six (6) teacher tables were provided to equip educators with a dedicated, dignified workspace. And six (6) new whiteboards replaced the old blackboards across every classroom.
This project is not just about fixing walls or supplying furniture – it’s about building futures. It’s about turning overcrowded rooms into spaces of inspiration, turning struggle into stability, and turning potential into real opportunity. By supporting the development of a more conducive learning environment, the project contributes meaningfully to the long-term educational and social advancement of the Luhuor community.
